Refer them to K2M and we will help them select the right online program. If the contact you refer purchases any of our K2M products/services, we will pay you up to $100 referral reward!
Referral rewards are paid only upon purchase of a K2M product/service by a new customer. Please review the following information and our Program Guidelines for submission instructions.
How do I submit a referral?
Simply send us an email with your contact information and that of your referral (see bellow). A K2M sales representative will contact the person you referr.
How will I know if my referral resulted in a sale? If your referral results in a sale, we will notify you by email once the referred customer's payment has been received. To find out the status of a referral, you may contact us at k2m@lubrizol.com.
How will I receive my referral reward?
Referral rewards will be paid in the form of a discount on any Lubrizol K2M purchase.
Program Guidelines:
- Referred lead must be a new customer to K2M. Existing customers of K2M do not qualify for program rewards. In the event K2M is already in contact with the referred lead, the referral does not qualify for a reward. The discussion you have with a potential K2M customer will easily determine this.
- The referial reward is good toward the purchase of one item. Unused portions of the reward will not be refunded.
- Your referral must purchase at least one product/service with K2M for you to qualify for the reward.
- In the event that the referred customer has multiple locations, the referring party will be paid an additional one-time $50 reward per location up to a maximum of five additional locations.
- Referral rewards will only be paid on the original sale, whether single or multi-location. Subsequent sales to the same customer will not qualify for the referral reward.
- In the event that the same referral lead is submitted by separate parties, the referral with the earliest submission date will be accepted.
- The referral program commences March 8, 2010 and ends August 31, 2010. Only referrals received during this time will qualify for referral rewards.
K2M reserves the right to change or terminate this program at any time.

I have never taken an online course. What should I expect?
Lubrizol K2M instructors realize that it is ineffective to simply transfer traditional slide show presentations to a Web site. Lubrizol K2M online courses introduce you to virtual customers who ask relevant questions; your “job” is to answer the “customer’s” questions correctly in order to advance the “sale". K2M courses give you the practical lubrication knowledge and skills you need to successfully close more sales and solve more customers’ problems.
Which online lubrication programs are offered in Spanish?
The following programs will be offered multiple times each year, starting in October 2007. Additional programs will be added in 2008, based on customer demand.
- Lubrication Fundamentals Series: Chemistry
You don’t need to be a chemist or engineer to learn the basics of lubricant additives, base oils, viscosity and grease. A Lubrizol expert will assist you using online simulations, discussions and support. The chemistry program is a good way to refresh your memory or advance your lubrication knowledge.
- Transportation Specialist Series: Commercial
You will learn to discuss and diagnose commercial transportation lubrication issues with fleet managers, including API and Euro specifications, drain intervals, oil analysis, on and off road applications and transmissions.
- CLS™/Lube Expert Series: Lubrication Fundamentals
You will build a credible understanding of the basics of lubrication, including the basics of lubricant additives, base oils, viscosity, and grease, the application of grease, and lubrication manufacturing as it applies to industrial manufacturing.
- Subscription to 13 Self-Paced Courses: Access to 13 self-paced courses and 1500 pages of lubrication reference material for
1 year. The courses—available anytime they are needed—put participants directly
into real-life selling situations. Participants learn how to progress the sale and close
the customer.
What is included in a program?
The programs combine online, self-study courses and written assignments with online discussion tools that allow you to exchange ideas with your peers. Industry experts guide you through each step of the learning process. Programs typically require about 2 hours a week for 6 weeks. Every program comes with an extensive online reference library at no additional charge. Program length and intensity vary; see the specific product page for more information.

Learning Online Lubrication is More…
More friendly. More simple. More convenient. Based on student feedback, we built a new state-of-the-art online learning environment. It is friendlier, easier and faster to use. The new learning environment significantly reduces the number of clicks needed access to information.
The online programs you enroll in are now listed on your home page and laid out in a simple one page format. These changes save you time and effort. They also free K2M’s team to provide you more service. Sonya Coleman, K2M Product Specialist has seen the number of “how do I use the online lube school” questions dramatically decrease since the launch of the new system. Getting you enrolled in programs has also gotten easier. Sonya says, “The new environment allows me to focus more on helping the customers learn.”
Jerry Brys, a K2M student commented, “I like how the new learning environment forces me to go through the resource library by introducing it in the first assignment.
